Dryer Cylinder for Paper Project
Each dryer cylinder is usually made of a metal shell (usually cast iron or steel) that is filled with steam or heated by an electric or hot water system. This heating causes the surface temperature of the cylinder to increase. When the wet paper comes into contact with the outer surface of the heated dryer cylinder, heat is transferred from the cylinder to the paper. This heat energy assists in the evaporation of the moisture in the paper.
Dryer cylinders are primarily used for paper drying during the paper making process, ensuring that the paper reaches the required dryness before entering other production stages. The outer surface of the dryer cylinder is often coated or treated to increase its durability and enhance paper release during the drying process, thereby reducing paper stickiness. By improving the efficiency of the drying process and paper quality, dryer cylinders help save costs throughout the production cycle, resulting in better profit margins for manufacturers.
Drying cylinders are a fundamental component of paper mills and have a significant impact on the efficiency and quality of paper production. If you want something to purchase, please contact me at any time!
