When entangled material is detected in the pulp, the operator activates the Ragger. The rope is carefully guided into the pulp mixture and the recovery action begins. The Ragger slowly and steadily pulls the rope back, taking away the unwanted contaminants. This process is repeated until the pulp reaches the desired purity, ensuring that the final product meets strict quality standards.

 

Additionally, the gentle treatment provided by the Ragger helps maintain the integrity of the pulp fibers. Unlike more abrasive methods such as mechanical extraction, the rope winch minimizes fiber breakage and maintains the structural integrity of the pulp. This not only improves the quality of the final paper product, but also extends the life of the equipment by reducing wear.
