The H.C. Hydrapulpers usually operate at a concentration of 12%-18%. The high-speed rotation of the rotor generates a strong vortex, which allows the fibers to be quickly disintegrated under the dual effects of mechanical shearing and hydraulic impact. Compared with low-consistency pulpers, the H.C. Hydrapulpers’ advantages are: the energy consumption per unit output is reduced by about 20%-30% compared with low-concentration pulpers; and it can reduce the cutting of long fibers and improve the pulp strength.
