The Drum Screen is mechanical devices integrated into the pulping system of paper mills, designed to separate unwanted materials from the pulp slurry. They consist of a rotating cylindrical drum with a mesh or perforated surface that allows liquid and fine material to pass through while retaining larger contaminants. Once the pulp slurry is prepared, it is fed into the Drum Screen. As the drum rotates, the slurry passes through the perforated mesh, allowing water and accepted pulp fibers to flow out while larger particles, such as bark, plastic, and metal debris, are captured within the drum.
